The foundation course for humanities covers the essential concepts of Political Science, Indian History, Economics and Geography. The course is deigned to provide a comprehensive coverage of these subjects and is mapped to the NCERT curriculum pertaining to 11th and 12th grade.

This course is suitable for:

  1. 11th and 12th grade learners of social sciences stream.
  2. Learners who are looking to kick start their UPSC preparation journey.
  3. Students preparing for Common University Entrance Tests (CUET) for Bachelor level courses in social sciences.
     

Course Features:

The features of the course include:

  1. 200+ hours of comprehensive lectures covering Political Science, Indian History, Economics and Geography.
  2. These lectures are mapped to four subject specific workbooks corresponding to lectures that students will use during the duration of the course.
  3. The workbooks are designed to provide notes on key concepts, along with subjective questions that learners must solve in workbooks in sync with the lectures. Faculties will provide detailed explanations for each set of subjective questions.
  4. Multiple Choice Questions that students can use for self-evaluation for each section: Political Science, Indian History, Economics and Geography.
  5. Monthly group sessions with subject specific mentors for better clarification and doubt solving.

Political Science

The Political Science CUET crash course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of political systems, processes, and institutions, both at the national and international levels.

The syllabus is divided into two sections - While "Contemporary World Politics" focuses on global issues, "Politics in India since Independence" specifically covers the political history of India.

  1. Contemporary World Politics: It covers various topics related to international politics and global issues. It provides an overview of the political systems, institutions, and actors involved in world politics and explores key concepts such as power, security, globalization, and human rights. It also explores contemporary issues such as terrorism, climate change, and the global economic order.
  1. Politics in India since Independence: It covers the political history of India since its independence from British rule in 1947. It covers topics such as the framing of the Indian Constitution, the role of political leaders, the integration of princely states, economic policies, and social reforms. It also explores contemporary issues such as regionalism, identity politics, and the challenges of governance in India.

The CUET History crash course covers the study of various periods and events in human history from ancient times to the present day. The course covers various themes such as political, economic, social, and cultural history. Students will learn about the various factors that have shaped human history, including religion, technology, trade, and colonization.

The syllabus is divided into three sections. Each section covers a different period in history, as follows:

Part I covers Ancient and Medieval History, including the Indus Valley Civilization, Vedic Age, Mauryan Empire, Gupta Empire, Delhi Sultanate, and Mughal Empire.

CUET crash course economics is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles that govern the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services in our world. The syllabus is divided into two parts: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.

The Microeconomics section of the syllabus begins with an introduction to the subject, followed by a study of consumer behavior and demand, producer behavior and supply, and the various forms of markets and price determination under perfect competition. Students will also learn about the applications of demand and supply curves in real-world scenarios, and will study non-competitive markets.

The Macroeconomics section of the syllabus begins with an introduction to the subject, followed by a study of national income accounting, money and banking, and the determination of income and employment. Students will also learn about the government budget and its impact on the economy.
